Mariota has had 2 good games in a row.

Interesting that this team has beaten both 2018 super bowl teams.

I don't think Mariota has changed. I think the offense changed.

2 important things happened;

1. The TE as priority was removed from the equation, forcing the ball to the WR and downfield
2. LaFleur added more passing and shotgun

That's it. Mariota has always been good throwing the ball when forced to throw in the 4th. He was not good having to throw on third 3rd and long when the defense was ready for it. To me, all that non-sense about Mariota maturing in the Dallas game was stupid, it was LaFleur aligning the offense to Mariota.

 

This Titans team today would've beat any team, including that Ravens team that came to Nashville and had a sack fest..

 

There wasn't an option for he has had pretty bad coaching the last couple of years that has stunted his growth, but the last couple of weeks he seems to be clicking with LaFleur and the offense is rolling which is awesome. So I went with idk what to think, even though I'm loving the improvement he has shown.

 

I think the offense is finding it's groove. But, Mariota will have bad games in the future. Just have to keep the bad games to a minimum.

Tom Brady is one of the best QBs to ever play football and has been playing for almost 20 years, did you see how he played today?

 

Mariota is positive in the TD/INT ratio for the first time since his broken fibula at the end of 2016.

This is 40 year old Tom Brady, most QBs at his age wouldn’t be worth a roster spot, but it’s still impressive. Titans D clearly got in his head.
I’ll be in Indy next weekend. Hopefully titans can beat Luck for the first time ever.

 

Some of Mariota's past struggles were obviously on him, but I don't think it can be over looked just how bad his coaching was. No coach before Matt has put him in a position to win ball games, he's basically just had to make plays on his own. It would have been interesting to see this coaching staff get a hold of Mariota from his first year on.

That being said, I'm thrilled with how MM has played the past few games. This is the consistency I think a lot of the so called "Mariota haters" (I hate that phrase) wanted to see for a while now. Past years you'd see Marcus show signs of progress, only to just have that head scratching interception. You haven't seen that the past few games, which is great. Can he keep it up? We'll see, but I'm pulling for him.
