But- this IS Vrabel's 1st year as a HC, and as the Titans' HC. I'm not surprised we're 3-4. This is our OC's 1st OC year in the position, 1st year implementing his system to the Titans. This is Pees 1st year implementing his defense. There are going to be inconsistencies in performance that only time can smooth out.

Overall, I'm very pleased with Vrabel. He has the players playing for him until the end of games. He does not shirk responsibility and its evident that accountability is a requisite with his style. He's delegating offense to those who know it better (hopefully) than he does. He's supporting/protecting his assistants and players. Those are all qualities that should translate into a solid culture of winning as long as he continues to lead the team as he's doing. I'm confident it will happen. But 8 wins is our ceiling. If we get on a run maybe 9, if we can continue to win division games, then we can get in the playoffs. But there is no way we're in unless we win the division. We'll lose all wildcard tiebreakers for sure.

So my point is, as fans we should be patient this year. We should rally behind Vrabel and players with support. We should be real though and criticize constructively when something bad was done.

I like Vrabel being aggressive. That will definitely get the best out of the players we have. We won 2 games being aggressive, we lost this one. I still want aggressive. (Just better play-calling). I am hopeful LaFleur's play-calling will improve in its effectiveness. But he's our OC for at least 2 years

Post game interview it was obvious that Vrabel was totally bummed out. I think he honestly didn't like the plays called either but he would never criticize LaFleur publicly.

Anyway- I still believe Vrabel is the guy we need. I believe playoffs are only attainable via division win and I put that at less than 20%. I think JRob is average GM and hasn't spent our draft capitol in as efficient/productive manner as he should have. I think (hope) that will get better as well. So I'm neither surprised nor inconsolably disappointed with Vrabel Year One.
