D was fine outside of the 2 long bombs

 

They scored 2 TDs and 2 FGs. As a defense you take that every day. There’s a general rule in football that if your defense keeps the opponent under 21 points you expect to win. Even more so with the increased scoring we’re seeing these last couple years.

Many teams wish they had a defense like ours, tbh. Pees defenses are always among the best league-wide. He's done the best he could with Kendrick Lewis, Rashaan Evans, Daequan Jones, and Austin Johnson all starting this season.

Just gotta hope Vaccaro gets healthy, Butler gets better chemistry with our safeties, and Woodyard doesn't get hurt.

 

Getting burned deep sucks, but defense wasn't the issue. The offense is a mess, from players to coaching you play calling.

 

Pees leaves and Ravens turn into the #1 D, coincidence?

 

The D was really good in the second half. Those 2 bombs were frustrating because they both occurred because the DBs are peaking into the backfield trying to get a turnover. Need to stop gambling so much. We've given up a few long TDs this year for that reason.

Ryan bounced back nicely tho. Had 2 awesome PBUs after that.

 

I could be wrong but I believe that both long bombs were Lewis’ f’ups. On the play that Logan Ryan seems to get the blame on he is supposed to take away the short routes and Lewis was supposed to have deep responsibilities. Lewis jumps on the out route leaving Ryan looking at the QB trying to bait him for a pick. He realizes that Lewis took the wrong man and he’s toast.

That’s my take away from this at least.
