Take a moment to look at the all-22 of every sack:
Keeping Up With Marcus Mariota: Week 6, 2018

    I see five things:
    1. The interior OL was pushed back on most plays before Marcus had time to set. Some of the guard play Sunday was about as consistently bad as I've ever seen. I put most of these sacks on them.

    2. Those who said that Titans WRs were running open on these sacks are wrong. On most of those sacks, I see little separation.

    3. I don't get having so many routes down-the-field. Watch most of those sacks and the WRs are still in their routes and not even looking back. Why LaFleur didn't run more short routes or have someone in the flat is beyond me. The thing missing from this article is the down/distance which might explain some of this if they happened more on 3rd-and-long.

    4. Marcus is to blame for not getting the ball out quicker but, as you'll see in the all-22, sometimes that was because the routes were longer. He also got happy feet and actually moved out of a clean pocket for a couple of those sacks. But I don't blame him for not checking down to Lewis on a 3rd-and-18 down by 14. He's trying to make a play. We'd been pissed if he didn't try to scramble and try to extend the play. I expect that is why he didn't try to throw more away as well.

    5. This Ravens D is damn good.

On many of these sacks, you see a combination of all five of these things at play. But judge for yourself.

thanks for posting that...it confirmed what I thought I was seeing on Sunday...btw, for all those saying "wr's were running open", that's bs....I saw maybe, maybe out of the 11 sacks maybe 2 had A open rec., that was looking for the ball...maybe 2.

Still seems on a lot of them he coulda thrown the ball away instead of taking a loss of yards and risking injury.

fair point, but as you watch the all 22 a lot of times the rec. were not even looking...the d players were, not the rec. sad

Honestly , it feels like we gave up. They were playing man coverage, yet we were running a bunch of ISO routes as opposed to some of the screens and pick plays that we've seen before. Hardly any receiver can dominate a good CB by running a simple route tree.

This. This is so obvious it is shameful. On everyone of those plays you can't find a RB, a TE or even a slot guy heading into the flat for a safety outlet. Mariota is getting blitzed and the line is getting beaten and Lefleur just keeps using Smith and Lewis as additional BLOCKERS! It was clearly not working, but he kept doing it.
