NFL should offer up money for a company to come up with a system of cameras and A.I. to officiate games. The refs now just get in the way a blow calls.

It would ruin the game in a different way than it is already ruined.

Now they selectively choose which penalties to call. In a truly fair officiating situation, there would be penalties just about every play. Holding happens all the time.
It’s a unique problem with this sport.

The game already grinds to a halt during every challenge. This might make it even more tedious to sit through.

Ya its definitely a problem, the easiest fix which i dont see NFL doing, is throw out this new rule book and revert back to the old school approach.

Re-watched the game yesterday and it was obvious that the Ravens game planned to pick on our LBers, SS and Butler. On almost all of the 3rd down conversions they attacked those 3 spots. I felt bad for Bates because he just got abused when he subbed out Evans in passing situations. Lewis was not good at SS either and that is why Cruikshank finally took his place late in the game. When you have a huge whole in the middle of your defense it is tough to manage. As I posted elsewhere my source with the Titans said that the loss of Woodyard was huge in the Bills loss because of wrong calls by Brown...I don't think they got that fixed against the Ravens either. I just hope Woodyard can make it back this week and the defense can get settled down.

I find the zero points more concerning, TBH. Giving up 21 in today’s NFL isn’t atrocious until you see the goose egg on the other score. We’ve had 3 games this year with no TDs

50% of the games so far, Titans didn’t find the end zone one time.

i agree most defenses would be okay with only giving up 21 each week. the problem is the offense putting up zilch

I agree that the zero is bad, but the defenses inability to get off the field certainly didn't help the offense get into any sort of rhythm. We also have to stop killing drives with penalties...Conklin's penalty negated a 1st down and put us in 3rd and long.

We really miss Walker as a guy who could hurt you in the middle of the field. If he were in the game then I don't think the Ravens blitz as much.

I have to give the Ravens kudos for their defense. They played tremendous. I know that I under-rated them. I had no idea that they had not given up a 2nd half TD all yr. That is being dominate.

We have one of the worst offenses in the league, yet despite their inability to stay on the field or score points, our defense is 3rd in points allowed. They deserve blame for nothing.

Every Tuesday, ESPN does its 3 best, 3 worst, QB play of the week.

This week, Mariota got the "coveted" number 2 spot, 2nd worst.

    2. Marcus Mariota, Tennessee Titans
    Total QBR: 14.4

Mariota's eight worst QBR plays on Sunday?

Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack. Sack. In fact, 11 of his 13 worst QBR plays were sacks.

Now, some may quibble with the notion that Mariota ought to be debited for all of those. And certainly, QBR doesn't place all the blame on him. But consider that the average time of those 11 sacks was 4.6 seconds after the snap, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. The average time to pass in the NFL is 2.5 seconds. By 4.6 seconds, the quarterback has to figure out a way to have the football out of his hand. Mariota wasn't entirely responsible for Sunday's drubbing, but he played a big role in it

I have been a HUGE Mariota supporter, but he has not lived up to my expectations, sadly.
