they were trying to catch them backpedaling protecting the impenetrable first down line in an obvious passing situation. It was a good call in that it allowed the Titan OL to pretend to passblock and pretending to block was one of the few things the Titan OL had been doing well

A truly pathetic display. Just wait until next week. The Charges should have no trouble getting to 50. The Titans wanted national attention, but they are about to get internationally embarrassed.

Last year it was supposedly the coaching staff holding the team back. This year the players suddenly suck. I find that funny.

The defense doesn’t look pretty but giving up 21 points isn’t bad and should be a winnable game if your offense had any ability. But our offense can’t consistently throw the ball which allows the opponents to aggressively shut down the run.
The Ravens had 8 men in the box on nearly every play and on passing downs they always had a spy on Mariota. Yet apparently we’re still blanketed. Now someone posted a stat that said Titans receivers had more separation than league average so I think this comes back to Mariota not wanting to throw to a guy unless he is very open.

We also saw the return of the overthrows on deep passes. If the blame is on the injury, then they need to sit Mariota and let Gabbert play until his elbow is healed. We won’t win games with a QB who can’t throw more than 10 yards accurately (hoping that Gabbert can...).

When a team's offensive line forms a wall, it means that they are not very skillful independent of others in preventing a defensive lineman from getting to the QB. The problem with a wall is you're not allowing your QB a hole to slip out of. You're trapping him in the pocket where he can't run. You're also forcing him to run laterally and that is when he's at a high risk of being sacked. Defensive ends converge and get him. That's the first thing that I noticed the Titans doing wrong.

The 2nd thing is when Mariota goes back to pass there is only one tight end in the game and he's not blocking but running pass routes. So there are four receivers running pass routes and Mariota doesn't have but two seconds to throw the ball. The one that is blocking is 5'9" RB Dion Lewis and he tries but quite frankly I don't think he has ever blocked in his life and needs help in learning what he needs to do, don't know if there is anybody there that can help him. He's not very swift at running to an area where he is in the clear to catch the ball, instead he gets lost on the other side of the offensive line where Mariota can't locate him. He's not observant in what's going on with his QB. During blitzes you got to help him out for crying out loud.

I'm not going to blame the Titan offensive line because they are good. The problem is that there are excellent defensive lines in the NFL that are really hard to stop. The Ravens have such a defensive line and so you got to change what you're doing offensively.

The cardinal sin here is that you don't make a spectical out of your QB and humiliate him the way the Titans did and is why the offensive coordinator must be held responsible for this ugly game. It is obvious that this guy does not know how to adjust, is not very flexible. He doesn't have a plan b. Where were the blockers? The two tight ends and two running backs? How could you do the same darn thing over and over again and not correct the problem? Look at how many times Mariota was sacked, are you kidding me?

The remedy was very simple. I've seen it work many times. The tight ends would help block the defensive ends and then dart off in the slot to catch a quick pass. The two running backs would block anyone getting thru the middle and then dart past the defensive line for a short pass. You will burn these converging defensive ends and linebackers when they don't stay at home with these receivers and if they do it will give Mariota the time to either run or throw the ball. The Ravens were blitzing every down and should have been burned and taught a valuable lesson. Had the Titans been smart and done things a little bit differently, the Ravens would have been blown out of the water in this game. It makes me wonder if somebody from the Titan organization didn't have money on the game. It was that ridiculous.

So to wrap up, the Titans didn't adjust to what the Ravens were doing and went scoreless the entire game, can you believe this? This is a mark against the head coach and his offensive coordinator. These guys are coaching like amateurs probably because they don't know what they're doing.

I agree, when what you are doing is not working it is time to do something different. 8 in the box, hmm, maybe we shouldn't run Henry up the middle. It was a long and torturous afternoon. I really hope they got the crap out of their system.

Too many, at least half, on this roster and just happy to be playing on Sunday's. Blame goes all around. Front office, coaches, players or course. Like I have said before, dozens of times after games where the TITS don't show up and mail one in. For a TITS game you can see which team shows up within the first 5 minutes. Lack of effort, lack of "give a sh1t". Tell me, how could you, as an OLINEMAN NOT be mad as hell as you watch the ratbird defenders dance and prance time after time as they dominated you and terrorized your QB? Did anyone see any player show any emotion at all during that game? I didn't. Of course the nashville media will quickly switch off any negative articles and turn the focus towards "lack of fan support". Watch and see.

I'm not even mad, I'm just disappointed. I saw potential in the Texans,Jags and Eagles games but we are not building on good performances. It seems to be a case of 1 step forward and 2 steps back. This O-Line is REALLY struggling with all aspects of their job, they cant push the D-Line for the run and they cant give Mariota time and then you throw poor receiver play into that mix and what do you expect the result to be at the end of the 4th? All hope isn't lost but this team needs to show some consistency, We've seen what we can do when we are in a rhythm and its up to Vrabel to start building that consistency in our play.
