    who's upset? i was just stating why he was upset.
    you tried to say he didnt have incentives in his deal this year, he did. case closed.

    then you made it about other stuff

    i said a large portion of his contract was incentive based, you said it wasnt (not mentioning 5mil at all). i proved it was. case closed.

    just stop dude, it's ok to be wrong sometimes. some even consider admitting when you're wrong a good trait.

    I liked Rashard a lot! With that being said, I think Rashard missing Training Camp and really not hearing any reports of him working at the facility when he was rehabbing gave me the idea that he wouldn't be playing with the Titans this year. I was pleased to hear that he signed a one year deal and thought it would work out after all.

    Obviously, his playing time was greatly diminished this year but I kept thinking that he was still trying to come back after the injury. That dropped pass against the Jags had me yelling at the TV! That was very uncharacteristic for Rashard, and again, put doubts in my mind if he would ever return to the same "clutch" WR that I had been used to seeing.

    I think there is a lot that we aren't hearing (behind the scenes) that determined Rashard's fate as a Tennessee Titan.

    If JRob signed him to another year and then he's released after 3 games, something happened that caused Rashard to want to be released. Whatever that reason, I know that JRob wouldn't have let him go so easy if he didn't have a very good reason to do so.

    Rashard will most likely get more playing time with a different team, and as I heard from someone else, that team might be the Bills.

    At least JR cleared some questions that were asked on here up about trading him instead of releasing him. It seems that was attempted first, but no other teams were willing. I doubt there is 1 single GM in the league who will just release a player without seeing if there is trade value first.

    Understandably, we as fans feel a bit betrayed, and wonder why the front office does some of the things they do. However, we don't know what conversations are being had behind closed doors. Everything said on this thread about the reasons behind what happened and why Matthews was released is just speculation. It sounds as though the other players in the locker room knew how things were shaking out. I just hope it doesn't distract the rest of the team from the up coming game...
