Has he though? The Dolphins game was virtually a re-run of last years game. Both games Mariota leaves with and injury and both are lost on blown calls by the officials. Then theres the Texans game where we had to get creative and I will give them the credit for that.
Against the Jags we’re doing exactly the same as we did last year with an injured Mariota. Run often and keep passes to a minimum. Not to mention the injured Mariota actually looked to throw better than Gabbert...

 

I'd have to reread where this started for the point, but just to clarify, Miami last year was 100% Cassel sucking. Mariota was knocked out the week before.

Cassel threw one good pass. That would be the long TD to Walker that was called back for a phantom offensive interference on the other side of the field from Walker. That horrific call lost us that game.

 

But, the assumption you are making is the Kaep is "not good enough" or is a "Limited talent". Some would argue, by looking at stats and performance, that Kaep could legit compete for a starting job on about 15 to 20 of the teams in the league, and most assuredly could be a good back up QB on any team. The media frenzy argument is trumped by the fact that players like Gabbert, Osweiler and such are on teams, but Kaep is not.

 

Its rather absurd, but we have people posting here all upset about the win? This is the NFL, I will take any win over a loss all day. The complaint is about stats??? That's ridiculous. Certain fools are mad because MM8 didn't throw for 350 yards and 4 TDs against the best defense in the league. Those who are complaining, did you watch the actual game? The D line was coming up the middle of our O line in 1.5 seconds. I am happy we're 2-1 vs 1-2, plus we're leading the AFC South 2-0.

I continue to say that Fantasy football has ruined the casual football fan. Everyone just focuses on Stats.... like the classic HOF QBs were slinging the ball all over field.
