Just to remind ppl of how scrub of a coaching staff Mariota was delt with

The thing that bothered me the most last season besides that look on Murlarkey’s face during games was, me a regular guy, could know what the next play would be. Smmfh I use to be like damn, if I can predict the play I know guys that get paid well to coach for a living know what’s coming!!

That’s why I’m so optimistic about the future. Our offense did a lot with the coaching they had. Now it’s time to gel and excel.

 

2017 will be remembered as the year the Titans ran a HS playbook, cant believe they came out in the wing-T formation in 2017

 

A loss to the Dolphins is pretty damn heart breaking any time, even week 1 when teams are still trying to figure it out.

 

I like the timing of the Phins game, their secondary is suspect, good game to get our feet under us while we learn the new system.

 

I will forever be baffled by the Mularkey years.
Couple players and his use of them:
Taywon Taylor - Those weird ill-timed reverse/sweeps

AJ25 - the f'n guy plays defense

Jalston Fowler - we had a FB and ran a lot but never used a guy drafted specifically for blocking for a HB

DW - more play calling misuse but those weird handoff plays, also ill-timed

Mariota - Limited him both passing and running

 

9-7 is more indicative of a high quality GM putting together a good roster than the garbage coaching staff. Evidence was how the team excelled when Mariota ran the show. Are you trying to say Mularkey was a good HC and should have been retained?

It's funny, the success of teams that made the playoffs and then fired their HC is actually quite high the first year with the new coach. Making the SB and even winning it in some cases. I know it'll take time to get the new system moving but considering what they did with a trash coaching staff, this team should do really well this season. The fact people get on Mariota for bad fundamentals with him having no quality coaching the past 3 years is ridiculous to me.
