JR has been nothing short of great with the moves in the secondary

 

No joke. Two seasons ago, this secondary was amongst the worst in the league. Not one of the current starters was here. Now... one would expect it to be a team strength.

I’m reading nothing but love for this guy. Makes me wonder why he slid so low?

I hope this season he can push cyprien hard. At the least, make cyp a two down SS and take over on passing downs. I’d love to see him outright take the job.

cyp is now the weakes link on the starting 11 on D. Glad he has some competition now.

Byard and crookshanks could be a great safety duo for a long time. We shall see.

 

I agree. His testing numbers are very appealing. Love his combination of size and speed. Seems very willing to get involved in the run game and be effective in the box, and he doesn’t need to be that great in coverage to be an upgrade to Cyp.

 

Not draft two players that barely play. Thats a start

 

Only one not playing right away is Falk....and that’s fine at 199.

 

Two injury prone players in the first two picks

 

Yeah... I don’t get the criticism here.

Evans will be a three down starter Day one.

Landry will be in the pass rush rotation. He’ll probably be in there more third downs than not.

Crookshanks may not play much this year. But he may take cyps job. Who knows? For a fifth round pick, that’s about the best you can hope for.

And a developmental qb in the sixth? Who should we have taken there that is seriously going to play much, if at all, this year?

If your fifth and sixth round picks are penciled in to starter spots, that means your roster absolutely blows.
