Pick #41 of the 2018 NFL Draft: OLB Harold Landry, Boston College

Jrob told someone off camera to write the name for the pick in a video I watched of the war room. (Might have been for the 1st round pick) but I can just imagine the guy that wrote it down snickering as he writes "Honor Landry" on the card just to **** with VY. Lol

 

You could see Young look at the card twice.

And he said Honor twice. Someone spelt the name wrong on the card for sure.

VY got thrown under the bus with that one.

Well, we should be worried if he was, vy being such a paragon of good judgment and all.

 

I would bet that the card said something like "It is my HONOR to announce..Harold Landry"....and VY pulled a VY.

 

That was tough to watch it a second time. It hurt me physically. Poor VY.

 

That is the strongest endorsement for Landry I can think of.

 

My contact inside the organization says some vets used to mess with Vince by trying to get him to read coaches notes of the white board, knowing he struggled to read. That shows problems on both sides of that fence.

 

All I know is I hated the fact that VY was announcing the pick this year but I definitely want him doing it next year

 

I love Landry. I believe that he was higher than Evans on our board, but Evans was a need. I'm not a fan of losing the 3rd, but I can't say that there were many players selected in that round that I was fond of. It is a premium position, and he's shown that he's capable of premium production. He and Evans will be fun to watch.
