After further research I’ve dropped Maurice Hurst to the 2nd round and bumped up Taven Bryan to the 1st round. Hurst medical I think will drop him but make no mistake he is a top 15 talent maybe top 10.

Also I would much rather go Bryan or Hurst before I draft any of the edge rushers as I have them rated higher. There is no edge rusher other than Chubb that is 1st round worthy in a normal draft. Harold Landry may or may not be there when at 25 and has the look of a good edge rusher but I just can’t help but think he is a Kamerion Wimbley clone.

Ideally we drop out of the 1st altogether and pick up an additional 2nd and 3rd or 4th rounder. We could really shore up our defense if we go this route.

Other observations Rashaan Evans is NOT 1st round worthy. Tremaine Edmunds, Roquan Smith and KVE are the cream of the crop. Rashaan Evans is a 2nd rounder. He doesn’t diagnose plays well and he takes a looong time analyzing what is happening before he reacts. This causes him to play slower than he really is. He often takes himself out of plays because he can’t diagnose what is happening fast enough and just guesses which way the play is going. Also he is a liability in coverage. Drag routes and crosses he often times takes the wrong man doubling up on a guy who is already covered by the DB. He got away with it in college because of all of the talent surrounding him but he would be exposed in the NFL.

There is really good safety and CB depth in this draft. I could see some really solid players dropping to the 3rd and even 4th round.

Also this is a year we should take a developmental QB. I like Lauletta in the 4th and on but David Falk would be a good guy to get as well.

Center and guard depth is not bad as well.

Well it should be fun watching all of the trades for the quarterbacks this year. Will be an interesting draft to say the least.
