I went to the same HS as him actually. I didn't know him, he was younger than me and we never played together, but I did get to watch him in a game or two in HS after I'd left.

He's always been a hero to me and lot of the guys who played before him because our program was not a power house by any measure. Before my class, our school hadn't been to the playoffs in years and we were the first group to make it very far.

But to see a guy come up from that same program and make it to an SEC school and then go on to the NFL? I'd lose my mind if he played for my favorite NFL team.

If the price is right, this will be a very solid pickup
This pretty much describes how I feel as well and I truly hope our 1st 3 picks later this month are spent on 2 LBs and a DL...On that note, I feel like this pickup could free us up to concentrate on Def early..

Davis will hopefully take that next step and Rishard is solid, but unspectacular. That leaves us with TT and sharpe. I'm really hoping Taylor's potential will be unlocked by the new offensive coaching staff and I have a tough time seeing Sharpe as any kinda consistent contributor.. Soo, as I was saying or hoping, get JM and then turn to defense...

My sister and brother both went there. They both graduated before you. I do remember how bad MA was in the late 90's early 00's, though.

Oh yeah, those were definitely some dark days for sure.

We had two guys go play college ball from our senior class. One actually played at West Alabama (just before Malcolm Butler), the other went to Penn. But Jordan was the first guy to go to the SEC, and the first to ever be drafted.

I think why I kind of like this is how he performed in his first year under Chip Kelly and playing with Nick Foles. He put up some good numbers and might have been Foles most reliable receiver. While the systems are not exactly the same, they will end up being close. I can see him being as reliable for Marcus as he was for Foles. For these reasons, I think he is a compliment to the rest of the core receivers

The biggest concern I have with him is his health. If he's healthy, I absolutely think he'd contribute as a vet receiver with some solid upside and provide Marcus with a reliable slot target.

If he’s needing to have a good season so he has a shot for that final big contract, he’d be crazy to not sign with the Packers or Pats, IMO.
