I don't think this applies to QBs. You don't want your QBs eager to take hits. Quickest way to a short career.

Andrew Luck: for example. He was billed to be the 2nd coming of Manning... Manning was cerebral, got the ball out quickly. Luck holds onto the ball until the last minute, then tries to scramble, taking tons of hits.

 

If he's timid to the point where he can't even be a functional QB when there is pressure, then it is a problem. A former coordinator made the comment that he didn't know how to coach a player with no courage. I haven't followed his career enough to know if that is still the case, but one does not simply grow balls overnight. J Rob likes balls, so I find him an odd candidate.
