Not sure how many of those games he came in the middle of and they were already losing and I don’t care to take the time to look it up either.

 

I’d prefer to do both. Bring in a gabbert type. And then draft a rookie in the fifth or something that we think may have some promise. Let em compete. If mariota has to miss time, make the call which is the better option.

 

I was scared to death we were going to draft Gabbert the year he came out (turns out we got Locker, so ya know...). But now, I actually think he's a perfect backup to Mariota. Descently mobile and won a few games for AZ recently.

I also think his career record has a lot to do with the poor supporting cast he's always had. He's never had weapons like Delanie, Matthews, Dion Lewis, Corey Davis etc.

Gabbert is my top choice for backup QB right now. Not sure we could do much better considering what's left on the market.

 

Yep. Gabbert was a total joke of a1st round pick. Still had a better career than Locker.

 

I think Gabbert would be an excellent choice. I would sign him immediately.

 

Honestly not concerning IMO. Went back and looked at the Jags roster w/ Gabbert when Mularkey was coach. Wow, what a bad roster.
