What would you have paid to Allen Robinson?

They're no worse than you "Mr. Bama Bust"

I don't agree with some of PFF but overall they have it pretty well figured out

Did he look like a top 5 S against the run? I don’t think so.

Look at the guys from Bama drafted in the first two rounds since Saban has been there. Look at the bust rate. Tell me they don't bust at a ridiculously high rate for a variety of reasons.

    I agree he sucks

But they gave him a 49 rating which I agree with 100%. He failed vs one phase but almost made it in the other. 49 is a good grade for a bum like Cyp

PFF nailed that part of what they do

Didn't they have him as a top safety in 2016? I remember him being rated higher than Eric Berry for sure.

    PFF is trash.

Point is, your average Titans fan has a better idea of how Titans players play than their ‘in depth’ analysis they want to charge people for.

You can, of course, find players graded correctly at times...but the fact that you’ll never which grades to trust and which not to invalidates the whole point of PFF. If I can’t trust their evaluations, then it’s useless and a waste of money.

And no one can grade db’s on every play from the broadcast view.

I don't subscribe to their service but the free content is pretty close to right

Like I just told Fry, I'm not a customer of theirs, but the stuff I see is usually close to right most the time

You shouldn’t trust a site you admit comes up with weird results??? How does that work? If they are objective and the results are duplicatable....how do they come up with ‘weird’ results?

The ONLY conclusion is that their made up criteria doesn’t work properly....which invalidates their criteria as quality and reliable......translates to not meaningful.

If you wanna ‘trust’ a site with demonstrable mistakes or erroneous results...go ahead. But some of the posters on here do watch every snap of games and players we talk about. You wanna see Malcom Butler from PFF’s view? Watch the entire Pats season in ‘quick’ game mode. Can watch the whole regular season in 8 hours. Since pff claims it can do its Db ratings from the broadcast view (which is impossible), you can watch every snap in broadcast view and get the same wrong results.

It’s interesting you think a group you admit makes mistakes and claims to judge secondary play in broadcast view is better than coaches watching coaches film on their opponents. Do you understand your suggestion doesn’t make sense?

Coaches COACH players in scheme and technique. They know who is responsible and who is not responsible for completions and incompletions. Pff just lists numbers without context...which is why they get strange results at times. If you don’t watch every snap and don’t know which of pff’s results are good or bad....how do you trust them???
