Not saying Taylor is the next Landry, but isn't 1K yards and 4-5 TD the same production regardless of the # of catches?

Those aren't all that impressive of numbers that seem impossible to reach.

Landry is good for about 60 yards a game

    whats that worth to you?

not a whole damn lot to me

and we sure as hell dont need a 4th slot receiver either

my major beef with Landry is mostly his price. With that same money we could actually stand to improve by signing a Nickle corner AND a new ILB if Avery Williamson walks.

I get it from a Titans standpoint. Unless Kendall wright or Nate Washington are on the field, 1K is insurmountable before the McNair/volek years.

I'm just saying that those numbers aren't that impressive. That's sad as a Titans fan it would make an exclusive list.

I'm with you. I think landry will be very expensive.

He's proven, and an upgrade over the "potential" (hate that word) in Taylor and even sharpe. He would open the game up more for Davis and Matthews.

I just think that won't be so big of an issue we need Landry.

Landry doesn't compliment our current players.

Hes an underneath guy, he excels when you dish the ball out to him quickly, we have that in Davis and Taylor already. We traded up for Taylor too, so JR obviously likes him and will probably push to see him given a shot.

I just dont like what Landry brings to the table, his measly 8 yards a catch is a joke. IMO the answer to our prayers comes in the form of a WR who runs the deeper stuff, Lets Davis be our underneath guy we overfeed and let run for 1sts, hes very good at that. Landry wasnt.

Landry is a good plaer, I'm sure he'd do well here. But the cost to trade, then cap hit to sign isn't worth it imo. I truly believe the scheme and play calling caused a lot of WR issues last year. Look at the Rams offense last year, they didn't have big name guys, they had a staff who tailored an offensive to the roster, and had a scheme not from the 80's.

The rookies of last year won't be spending their offseason working on combine stuff, but instead their craft. Almost everyone is healthy. Mariota can practice ALL off season instead of rehabbing.

Davis, Matthews, Taylor & Sharpe should be a good young core, plus Walker and Smith. Spending big bucks on a guy like Landry, for a group that is talented and young, isn't the best asset management imo. Spend that money elsewhere. Get a baller guard, upgrade CB and SS and get some front 7 guys. Money would be better spent on any of those than another WR imo.

    This.

I wouldn’t be mad if we got Landry. But I agree the resources would be better spent elsewhere.

I think the pass catchers we have can do the job, if used properly.

Landry is staying put with Miami. No one is gonna pick up that tag and have to pay for it.

Wanted Landry until he said he was gonna sign the tag now it's just bad business

I think that Landry does compliment what we currently have on the roster. Mariota is best throwing quickly between the numbers. That is where Landry excels. Davis was drafted to be our big play deep threat. Sure Taylor might turn out to be a good player but he is still an unknown. Landry has proven that he is a player. I'd be very happy to have the 60 first down catches that he had last yr on our roster. I'm sure the Titans defense would like that too.

We need to give MM all the proven weapons we can. I'd feel much better with either Landry or Watkins on our roster. If Davis goes down currently we would have Matthews, Davis, and Sharpe....not very solid in my book. And if MM has a bad year with them is it the lack of decent WRs or that MM just doesn't have it.
