Rumor Titans interested in trading for Jarvis Landry?

Trading for Landry and overpaying him is dumb

Don't need him. On top of that, he's expensive.

I'd be 100% content riding the same WR corps as last season with Sharpe healthy.
Use Taylor.

WR was addressed last year in great depth, give it time and fix the other holes.

 

This is most likely offseason BS and will continue all through the year until kick off or some idiot is arrested and draws attention to another story.

 

Looking at LeVeon Bell to bite that bullet again.

 

That would be an expensive bite of bullet to be sure.

 

im not exactly fond of overpaying a WR but we do need offensive help in the WR department. if Jrob is trying to make a push and wants to buy some talent, i would not argue.

if we did get him it would surely signal that we are FINALLY going pass-happy, which i can get behind.

all that being said, unlikely.

 

I think all the offensive help we need is here. Robiskie and Mularkey are gone. Addition by subtraction. Upgrade a couple weak spots in the OL, get a decent backup for Henry (murrays gone) and let her rip.

Upgrade the D.

no no no no.... our WRs are not okay. we want to believe all these young guys are ALL gonna turn out to be great but that's just super unlikely. sitting around waiting on the status quo is what we've always done and its accomplished nothing thus far.

get some playmakers, make a superbowl push effort like the jags did. we are in a sweet spot right now with the cap space that we can make a hard push for a few years before we have to pay the main guys, take advantage.

either way we need to add at least 2 WRs. getting a real one couldnt hurt.

 

I think he WR are fine. Davis better be worth the #5 pick(that's a #1 WR). HE doesn't need to be competing with 3 "#1's". Taylor is the slot guy. Mathews is fine to run deep. Walker is a stud. Decker pissed some people off with drops, but actually played alright throughout the year, plus he's low on the depth chart.
Sharpe is also a slot guy, he can compete with Taylor.

Weapons on offense for this year needs to include a better playbook, Mariota playing like 2016, Henry actually running through holes (although I want a second back anyway) and some good blocking upfront.

There is just no reason to get Landry.


Should JRob make that move, Landry better understand he's the slot guy and to shut the hell up if he's not the highest target or even our best WR.
