Really? You're being a bit of a hater. The DE made a straight heads up play and caught that ball like he had stick'em on his gloves. it was very impressive. If that was our player it would be a "play of the year".
You don't have to like Mariota but try not being SO biased in your post.

Pineapple posse? Lol...I’m not in the “posse” just realize that like it or not, he is better than anything we have had in years. He plays hard and is a leader. Dude basically won that KC game on his own. He definitely had some flaws and I agree with you, and I’ll call him out with his bad throws as well, but don’t act like he was surrounded by amazing talent and playcalling. We had virtually no run game, predictable, average receivers, 1-2 receiver sets, and a crap interior line.

Should the Dolphins be thankful Ryan Tannehill is better than Jay Fiedler and Cleo Lemon?

Being better than some complete duds isn't really all that great. It just puts the franchise in the position of, "well, there are better guys out there, but he's good enough to stay." Those are the worst kind of QBs. Not bad enough to get rid of, not good enough to really do anything with.

I get the point you're trying to make but we are not in that situation. Not even close.

Bingo....If you read what I said, you would see that I took his bad throws into account...The difference is, Mariota haters refuse to look at any other influences besides his “flaws”. I guess the haters are pro scouts. It’s easier to point out negative to look like a genius when something goes wrong. When’s the last time we won a playoff game before this year.....exactly. Ya don’t have to like him, and you can certainly point out the bad, but don’t act like your all knowing when the dude played like he did in that KC game. We have a QB that can be special and has the goods. We just need to clean up his faults. Brady’s, Rogers, Brees, etc don’t just fall out of the sky.

We might be. I don't think there is anything wrong with being hopeful about the kid, but to be sold on him at this point is pure homerism.

I don’t think anyone is 100% sold on him...Just realists in that he is our QB now and forward like it or not. He has shown flashes of being great, enough to build on. Nobody should feel 100% with him at this point.

I'm completely sold on him. I'm not afraid to admit that. That doesn't mean I look past his faults. Outside of these interceptions mariota wasn't making bad decisions throughout the year. A case can be made that 4 or 5 of his ints weren't on him. Give or take 8-10 bad decisions and poor mechanics in a season where he rehabbed most of the off season isn't bad at all.

Aside from his bad plays and faults he played great! I agree!
