Every Mariota interception in 2017

Basically: Watch mariota float balls off his back foot into double coverage.

 

I find it hilarious that people bash the guy so hard after having QB’s like Jake Locker, Etc.. It wasn’t his best year, but he stayed healthy and won a playoff game. Be thankful we aren’t the Browns.

 

Wow, it's a pretty bad cut-up. Lots of balls that either should never have been thrown, or were very badly placed.

Exactly. His flaws can be worked on. We have a true leader, a guy that plays hard and with passion. He won us a playoff game with arguable the worst game planning/calling. Imagine when he is in a system that suits him, with some weapons and breathing room...

 

From a novice perspective, there were 2 really good pics by the defender (colt's LB at the line and Colts DB in game 2) and then 2 more that were clearly the WR's fault (Pitt tipped ball and Colt's game where WR fell). So 4 of his 15 INT's could reasonably be placed on someone else. This assessment clearly does not include routes that were not run correctly since I don't know the playbook well enough to determine that (Arizona INT looked like it was probably a bad route).

 

It's easy to tell there was some horrific coaching by looking at these lowlights.

 

Why is this even an issue right now? LOL I get it, it’s the offseason but Mariota was under a pitiful and outdated coaching staff!! That’s all that needs to be said lol. I said it before and I say again. If he continues to throw off his back foot under this new coaching staff then we can be worried. We have seen his abilities in season 1 and 2. More importantly last year was last year. It’s a new year baby!!
