    I am a little surprised that the Rams would let LeFluer leave after Greg Olson went to the Raiders. I would think they'd of tried to keep Goff surrounded by some familiarity this season. It will be interesting to see if he steps back now that two of his coaches are gone.

    Wow....really? I'm just...wow....Lafleur's name has been hot since the end of last year. He's got a lot of potential just like McVay had before going to the RAms. Gotta look at the this glass half full...We were able to get a very good defensive coordinator with years of experience out of retirement and a young offensive mind who was the QB coach to Matt Ryan and RGIII during their best seasons. I know it may hurt but try being optimistic!

    We have a HC who was one of the hottest prospects this off season, who has been labelled a future HC and praised by Bellichick, Brady et al.

    We have 10 years of DC experience in Pees, with a history of top 10 defenses, to guide our rookie HC.

    We have an OC in the mould of McVay, Shanahan, DeFilippo - the type we know have been hot commodities of late and seem to be flavour of the month with regards to HC appointments. Sure, he has no experience calling plays but he has a dual threat RGIII ROTY on his resume, an MVP Matt Ryan on his resume.

    Its amazing how you can twist things to suit a narrative. I just did it too with the above. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, and we will see this year.

    The remit from JRob wasn't "Play calling was the problem. We need guys with experience to call plays on our staff". It was "I want a leader of men from my HC", and "The staff wasnt maximising our players abilities".

    JRob has achieved exactly what he told us he would. He's got a leader of men. The play calling may prove to be questionable, but LaFleur has had success with different types of QB's, and is well qualified to fix up Mariota and the offenses problems.

    Edit - re the bolded statement. Wow. Just wow. 1 - you know that snow impacted the order the 3 guys interviewed in right? And 2 - are you implying that you have to hire the first guy that you interview? Or that if you don't, you cannot hire that guy for another role because you deemed him #2 for the higher ranked position?

    The man was a large reason why the Rams had the number 1 scoring offense in the NFL last season. Not to mention he helped bring Goff out of the dumpster and got him to 5th highest qb rating in the league.
