Why do people keep saying Vrabel is running the D when he said specifically that the D would be ran by the coordinator (unless he wanted a certain call)?

 

Is this guy a cheerleader or what? That stuff works in high school/college, but at the NFL level it's about technique. That's why all you guys hated Mularkey, his players loved him, but at the end of the day they needed better "scheme"

Reminds me of the Munchak days when he brought his buddy Chet to make the jump from High School to the NFL.....

 

Have you seen the players he's coached? I think he's got that part down.

Make no mistake about it, this is a serious hire for Vrabel and a huge hit for Urban Meyer's staff and recruitment of the Cincinnati area. Coombs is a legend in the Cincinnati area and one heck of a DB coach as well. Some serious energy is about to hit the Nashville area and Coombs has ST coaching experience as well.

 

Add safety's Malik Hooker and Vonn Bell as well....

 

I believe Coombs has been with Urban since 2012.
