Titans hire Ohio State DB Coach Kerry Coombs

My dad is OSU Alumni and an avid fan. I texted him about Coombs and his response was: "Really?? OSU's special teams were terrible!"

so... I'm hoping his our secondary coach and not ST Coordinator

 

This dude is a damn good coach.

This is a very good get for Vrabel.

Its probably secondary or ST coach. I'd be surprised if it was DC, but would it matter? Vrabel gonna run the D regardless

Sounds like this team is moving away from players coaches to guys who have more fire, but also expect the best from everyone.

There's a very fine line to walk between just yelling at guys and running around with your hair on fire, and motivating players and expecting the best of them. The Pats have that fine line figured out, and I feel like Vrabel could be one of those guys who knows how to walk it.

But if it fails, this will go up in a massive fireball.

 

Even if this dude is the DB coach Townsend could still stick as the an assistant position coach.

Very little difference. Many of the big guys at the big schools are playing for a chance at the big money, not for fun. That's if they aren't already getting paid in cash, cars, or prostitutes.

NCAA is filthy.

In fact.. the spoiled divas in the NFL are the exact same people in the NCAA.. just a couple years of age between.

At least the NFL pays their players legally.
