If ppl want to get a true evaluation of Defilippo than they have to look at his work in Cleveland. Was his offense as good as ppl are making him out to be? Idk

On the positive side, both Gary Barnidge and Travis Benjamin had breakout years that they haven't even come close to matching since. And the offense was decent when McCown was healthy, considering they had nothing in terms of skill players.

Outside of LaFleur...whom it doesn't look like we are pursuing, Defillipo is both the hottest candidate, very experienced, sounds like a leader of men and has done wonders for Wentz as well as getting Foles to play over his head the last two weeks in their biggest games.

I'd be surprised if Shula and Bevell don't get a look as they developed offenses and qb's with similar skillsets effectively with strong running games!

If we could get DeFillipo at OC and Bettcher at DC we'll be in business!!!

Again, not that I’m challenging you, but I would like a better understanding... Why is Defillipo the hottest candidate? Why is all the credit going to the QB coach, and not Reich? Isn’t it possible that Defillipo is just riding the coattails of his Offense Coordinator’s progress and development? What am I missing?

It would be like everyone here and the media getting hype and thanking Robiskie for turning around the culture and mindset of the Titans. The credit rightfully belongs to Mularkey

Having missed out on our top choices at OC & DC, I really hope we land Defilippo.

Today Wilks said he'd like to have his staff in place before the super bowl - maybe he's not waiting on Flip.

We just have to consider that if we do get DeFelippo, he likely leaves next year for HC opportunity (assuming he does well with Mariota). Maybe not ideal.

A possibility is because DeFilippo is the one interviewing and being attached with guys that have just become HC (Wilks). He's also uncontracted once the superbowl is over. Not sure if Reich is the same.

You must have not YouTubed his interviews yet. That's why everyone loves him. He sounds more knowledgeable about offense than anyone I've ever heard actually. His attention to detail is insane and his teaching abilities too. Go YouTube him

The Browns offense sucked because they were starting their like 40th QB in 30 something years. The systems have not been the problem in Cleveland, it's been the FO and the talent.
