Ryan Day potential OC

we're bringing in his OC and running his offense. you'd be crazy to not wanna take a look

 

Ok, I'll give you that. If we hire Day, and we took him late, I'd be ok with that because no one is going to know him better.

 

I hear you on that...just always get nervous about starting the season with a "project rookie" as a #2.

On Barrett, I will take the same view on him as with Kaep. Day knows both of them better than any of us do, so if he brings either one of them in I will trust his judgment on that. If not I will trust his judgment on that as well.

 

Yeah...again, I would not waste a value pick (1st 5 rounds) on him...and would be reluctant to waste any pick on him. May be better to go the UFA route IMO.

 

If we bring in Day i'm all for taking him in the 7th,i already took him in the 7th in my firstpick.com draft. He'll most likely be gone by then though . Maybe use a 6th. He could be great to have to help the defense in practice against mobile Qbs, like Watson. I know Carolina did same thing with how they used Webb in practice.

 

I may be in the minority but I wouldve liked to see us kick the tires on Todd Haley...hes truly a brilliant offensive mind and one of the best in the league.

 

I also thought we were going to kick the tires with McDaniels and others but look what happened. Don't be surprised if Haley doesn't even get a look

 

I know he won't get a look, he's rumored to be going to the Browns

 

I wonder what Plan B is if for some reason Day decides to stay at OSU?

 

he apparently turned down an SEC head coaching job last year to stay at OSU... assume it was not one of the top teams
