Said it earlier, but given that Day was the QB coach in SF in 2016, it is possible that Kaepernick gets a look as a backup...not sure what I think of that, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Hope you are right...BUT Cassel is awful, there really is a dearth of serviceable backups out there, and Kaepernick would be more familiar with a Day system.

That said, if Day is our OC and does not pick up Kaepernick, that would tell me all I need to know about why he is not in the league.

I wouldn’t mind it. Of course, I eat Ben & Jerry’s and Chik-fil-a because I care about product, not politics.

Refreshing to hear him say when your looking at NFL Film you have to look at through the eyes of what your players CAN do. And picking the right things. As opposed to what you are trying to force upon them. Also hearing him say that there are a million plays out there but finding the right play that fit who you are is important. Sounds like he gets it. Quarterback coach or OC bring him in.

I love that he has played under and coached with Coach Kelly. Not for the sake that he will run what Kelly run although that is important. If he can pick Kelly's head and get answers on what he thinks will make this quarterback thrive and he has his ear. That will be helpful for Marcus for the offense.

3rd string maybe, but I would rather draft a younger kid.
