Exactly. JRob is the one sitting across from these guys doing the interviews. Obviously Vrabel really impressed him. I think the idea that this was some kind of "buddy hire" is stupid AF tbh. The jury is still out on JRob but the one thing I feel really strongly about is that he truly loves this team and wants to win a SB more than anything. So I have a hard time buying he'd value a personal relationship over doing what's best for the team.

Is there even really any proof that they are "buddies"? Aside from the fact that Vrabel played for the Patriots at the same time JRob was a low level scout there?

 

I didn’t skew any numbers. That is his HC record with the Titans.

Let’s look at the rest of his body of work and marvel at his 40% winning percentage.

Yes he did a good job here but that doesn’t make him a good coach.

I mean obviously they have to find a good OC first. But let’s say it is 2 years. Now we have a 2 year window to win it all before having to reboot the offense with someone new. Then we have to hope he’s as good as the last one. Not an easy task.

Just saying that it is something to be concerned about long term. Not saying it can’t work.

I think there's some serious hurt feelings for a few people who bought into the McDaniels media hype.

I don't think that he was ever on JRob's list, but that's just my opinion.
