Agree. We did 1 additional interview for show and the Rooney Rule compliance interview. Never really was a search.

 

The system will at least be in place, and ideally at that point Mariota will be entrenched in it enough to where it won't really matter who the OC is.

 

Where did he interview apart from the Titans?

 

I'm not mad, JRob said it upfront that the HC search will go fast and he wanted to make a hire by the end of the week. He did bring in and interview good candidates so a hire was made. Lets get a good oc! Titanup!

I don't understand this logic... Sure, if a coordinator is good they may get a chance to move up, but would you rather have the Robiskies of the world that no one else wants?

The NFL is a copy cat league and young(er) up and comers are the new coaching hires, it seems...so that's just the reality for any team.

But, there are guys out there that want to be OC's and DC's and not HC's. Hopefully we can snag a good OC that wants to be an OC for s long time before considering being a head coach. If not, the team just has to move one and find the next one just like every other team.

 

One would think the plan is bring in an OC and QB coach that work well together and basically have the former groom the latter to take over when he gets his shot.

That’s the way I’d try to set it up anyway.
