Titans hire Mike Vrabel as Head Coach

Anyone know where he stands on analytics? Hopefully we take a more modern approach to football

 

He thinks they are gay.

 

Well, what I hope comes out of this, is the ability to STOP TE's in their tracks. I think he will address the weakness of being ate up over the middle. The most important thing will be the OC. We have such basic playcalling, "Smashmouth Football!" Our Defense will be fine if improved over the middle. I would also love to get a WR1 out of free agency and a DB, or Safety. Hmmm, let's wait and see what evolves.

 

He has great potential but he is just a puppet for JR ...

And you know what I don't really mind.

 

The way the last game he coached ended up Mularkey should never coach another game, that was utterly embarrassing. I don’t care if it was against Brady/Belicheat, it’s not like they’ve never lost playoff games before or have blown out teams in every playoff game they’ve played in. Titans playing inspired ball for Mularkey was overhyped and did NOTHING to help them in that game.

All season they’ve underachieved, had a melt down and nearly missed the playoffs while being a sure thing for the post season with 4 games left.

Keep Mularkey? You guys are nuts!

 

I like this move. I'd really like to see us retain dlb at this point and hire another young guy for the oc position. Vrabel has had really good coaches in his career and hopefully he follows belicheats gameday model and lets the dc and oc call the plays, while he oversees things. I'm excited to see a new brand of football. If this new staff can maximize our current rosters abilities, we will be sb contenders next year.

 

No where in there did I say keep Mularkey.

If he was so god awful- we should not have even made it to that game.

But if you think he didn’t do some good things while he was here.....you couldn’t find your a$$ in a bathtub with both hands.

 

I don’t know who does these, but he needs a gig with the titans
