He's not the first coach to get canned over a QB. Nature of the business. When the QB makes more than the coach it happens. Next time the coach and QB go and we start the madness again.

    Yes Haynesworth and Wychek..I agree

    He said Titans though...
Was Munchak a Titan? Moon, Campbell weren't Titans...Campbell even refuses to be recognized as a Titan. If Johnson can be considered one of the greatest of all time for his few "good-great" years so can Walker. It's not all about stats.

I think it has been a "JRob" plan for quite sometime. That's why I still have a feeling it will be Vrabel or McDaniels.

In looking back, I think Robinson was the one that leaked that Mularkey's job was on the line depending on the KC playoff game. He never said otherwise or denied the rumor. (AAS halfheartedly did, but no Robinson.) That is why Mularkey said what he did after the KC game and what set him off to be so defiant in his final press conference.....he knew he was done going into the Sunday presser and the talk of extension was BS.
I don't think he was getting an extension even if he turned over his entire staff. I think he knew when he walked into the facility Monday morning that he would be heading south to warmer weather before the day was over. And he did.
Just conjecture.......but it makes some sense.

At least the one thing that Mularkey supposedly brought to the table, "culture", will remain intact. The players will love Vrabel. That was a risk with McDaniels, and Mularkey constantly throwing them under the bus was eventually going to backfire. I trust that a huge reason as to why he got the job was because of his prospective coaching staff.

His staff had to be a major part of the interview. I assume that I’d standard operating procedure in hiring an NFL coach.
