I meant the 2015 roster Mularkey coached was the same that Whisenhunt couldn’t sniff a win with.

I never said he “easily” won anything.

yes Hiring Mularkey was a mistake.

Fans were promised an actual search when Wizinator was fired mid season.

search was only conducted at the coffee machine. THAT was 99% of my problem with Mularkey

I have given him credit for many things over the 2 years but I still contend he should not have been hired until an actual search was conducted or he should have just been hired and no talk of a 'search' should have happened.

all done now though. Like Munchak its looking like Mularkey would rather be gone than change

No it isn’t. I meant the 2015 roster. Whisenhunt won 3 games in 22 games between two seasons. Mularkey won 2 games (screwed against Oakland) in just 10.

Munch was dead in the water here from the beginning. Got late jump on his staff because he was hired well after everyone else was done with their staffs. The lockout prevented the staff from installing things before the preseason. Jake Locker.

He was doomed from the start.

exactly. TBH, every coach's fate is tied to the GM and the roster they are handed. Look at Ken Whisenhunt. Looked like a great coach for awhile... with Kurt Warner.
Give him a less than optimal roster, and he falls apart.

Belichick on the Browns looked like crap.

Meanwhile, Mike Tomlin lucks his way into coaching a Super Bowl winning program.

Dungy goes from the Bucs to the Colts, with an all-time great at QB, then retires before it falls apart.

Hell, Caldwell even seemed competent for awhile with the Colts until his stupid finally snuck out.

If Cowher somehow handed off the job to Munchak, I would be 0% surprised to see him being considered an outstanding HC.
