    Perhaps. That’s why I also threw in the possibility of pairing him with a defense coach like Vrabel or the panthers dc.

    Nobody is going to make a lateral move..

    It's going to be an established DC/OC paired with a position coach if we are going for a hire like that.

    Normally, sure, a lateral move wouldn’t happen. But cooter’s HC just got fired. So at the moment, he doesn’t really have an OC job.

    If he doesn’t get any sniffs for HC jobs (not seeing any so far) he’ll remain an OC, either in Detroit if the new HC wants to keep him, or elsewhere.

    Like, maybe his home state for instance?

    That’s my thought anyway.

    I'm pretty sure Matt Patricia will retain JBC.. Not sure how long he's still under contract, but since a new HC is coming in, I guess Matt wouldn't stop him from seeking employment elsewhere.
