Mularkey Out!

We in Hawaii have learned to distrust phone notifications.

That’s why I came here to confirm.

 

Wow. I'm feeling sort of bitter sweet about this news.

Sweet, as I can't honestly say I could envisage Mularkey leading us to a Superbowl with his outdated schemes, inability to adapt, clocks mismanagement in games etc PLUS the thought of McDaniels / an offensive guru teaming up with JRob and Mariota is pretty exciting

Bitter, as although we all loved to hate his stupid schemes & monotonous press conferences, he resurrected us from Browns-like incompetence, was a good leader, lead us to back to back winning seasons including an epic playoff win and seemed a nice guy who the players liked. He's obviously fallen on his sword for his coaches which I disagree with but respect.

In the grand scheme of things I think we are better off moving forwards (hoping we get McDaniels) but we should appreciate what Mike has done for our team

 

I mean he did take us from 3 wins to the playoffs...

Which is exactly why we needed to go ahead and make this change. Mularkey/Robiskie weren't going anywhere next season with that schedule and this archaic offense.

 

an "insider" over at the pornhub forum is saying that Mike Vrabel is a possible candidate as well....don't know how good that would be?

 

did not speak that well and had success as Atlanta OC IIRC

but his role in Tennessee appeared to be calling one of those Exomouth Smashtic plays that Mularkey had in his legendary green folder...

 

yeah, but IMO MM apparently did this because he refused to hire any staff that was capable of being an interim HC. He wanted cronies without HC ambition. Even said as much in a nicer way.
