I agree I'm not giving up but I am concerned . I'm hoping he turns it up a notch and kills it for the rest of the season .

Maybe you had unrealistic expectations for Mariota?

    Uh, every week.

Mariota played fine considering the circumstances. Stubborn play calling lead to third and long all game. And he converted them damn near every time, especially in the first half. He had one bad throw to an open reciever, and that was his only mistake when the game was managed well for him by the play calling.

He was out of sync with Decker and Davis, which we knew he would be. The running game has to be better, and we have to throw the ball more on first down.

Adoree Jackson played a lot better than I thought he would. It was looking like Cooper might break the single game record after the first half.

We just execute one or two plays betterin the red zone, and we are in it late. The Raiders don't find the next Adam ****ing Vinateri walking around on the ****ing street, we are in it late.

Both of those things happen, we win easily. Take a deep breath. That's the best team we will play this season. We clean up the trash on our schedule and win the easy ones, we get to play that team again.

Again, not like we got dominated. Even the most negative members here can't act like we aren't the same caliber as them. It was clear we are evenly matched. We just created zero breaks today. It happens.

QB is by far not the problem with the team. Coaching and defense comes to mind first.

Oh yeah. That one time he actually tried to get a first down by any means.

.... ignore the other times in the game when he could have run-- started to- then just randomly threw the ball at someone's feet instead.

Ok, so Mariota didn't have a "Great" game, but I thought he played well. He threw for 256 yards, rushed for 26 and scored on a 10-yard run. He didn't throw a pick (but could have on the one he forced into Decker), so it does seem like he's making better decisions to get rid of the ball if the play is not there. Tony Romo even recognized this on one play and praised Marcus for doing this.

I also think the Raiders are much, much better than many here are giving them credit for and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they make a deep run into the playoffs.

    Bring on Jacksonville.

At least Mariota didn't play as bad as that scrub Tom Brady!

That happened exactly one time, and he had nowhere to run
