damn, that's how you fukstomp a draft trade, you turn the Rams #5 into even more and an additional future 1st.

But way too much of drop from 5 to 27

    Yeah, no thanks.

Chiefs will be picking in the 20s next year, assuming they stay healthy. I don't think we missed out on much in the second this year. Couldn't care less about an extra fourth this year.

Sure, packaging the two firsts next year to move way up would have been some nice flexibility to have, but I'm happy with the way things played out.

I don't know...that would be a lot of draft capital as they say...might have been able to move back up.....however...IN JROB I TRUST.

good pass, who are you going to get next year in middle of first round that could potentially produce like Davis?

Ya would've wanted more for such a big trade down. Chances their first round pick will be high are pretty slim. Glad jrob stuck at 5 and drafted Davis.

Picks are great and everything, but at some point you just have make a selection and hope it works out.

We really lucked out with the Rams' pick. How often does a pick traded a year in advance turn into a top-five pick? Couldn't have hoped for anything better than that.

Yeah. Seems everyone on this board is obsessed with constantly trading down for "value". I mean, that's great in theory and all. But I'm glad we finally took an early swing on potential stud playmaker. This is the first time we've used a top 5 pick on a non-QB the entire time this team has been in Tennessee. And the first time we've used a top 10 pick on a non-QB/OL since Pacman

In hindsight though, that could've been a decent trade since we would have been able to snag Howard at 18 and most likely Adoree or Wilson at 27. Plus having 2 first round picks next year would have been nice. But it's always easier to say we could've done this or that since we know where players were picked. I'm happy with Davis and I think he'll get about 800 yards and 6-10 touchdowns next year, assuming he stays healthy. We may finally have our true #1 receiver.
