I agree that the safest and best way to go is picking whichever CB is at the top of our board with the 5th pick. It is by far our biggest position of need and I am tired of Luck tearing up our seondary. If you wait until the 18th pick there might be 3 corners off the board already.

I feel like this is the route JRob will go too. Last year plenty of people on the boards thought we might go corner or reciever even though RT was by far our biggest position of need at the time. JRob was going after Conklin, the best player at the biggest position of need.

We also don't know what we're going to do in free agency. Many reasons why he's not a no brainer.

There are a few players that I really like that Im keeping an eye on. No player is a lock at this point though.

I would much rather Robinson get his guy at 5 (if that's Lattimore) and take some heat (several people ripped him for taking Conklin at the time) than to take a WR or S, and then when 18 rolls around... Be left with the likes of Marlon Humphrey and among a few others who I feel definitely aren't the all around like Lattimore.

Lattimore is the only CB i'd consider at 5 right now.

    Really like him

Adams/Williams/Lattimore are my top 3 for us at 5.

Yes, his hamstrings were a huge problem the last couple years, but OSU started to monitor those using new technology to show how much stress was on them during practices which helped prevent the injuries this year. He has been a huge talent, finally put it together when healthy.

Long story short, here is the reason why:
Seemingly out of nowhere, Lattimore emerged this year as one of the top cornerbacks in the country and he’s all of a sudden a top-flight NFL prospect. Lattimore started all 12 games at one corner spot this season for the Buckeyes and he has four interceptions and a team-high nine pass breakups on the year.

It sounds crazy since he only has one year of real playing experience under his belt, but Lattimore will have a decision to make following the conclusion of Ohio State’s season. His combination of size — Lattimore is listed at 6-foot and 192 pounds — speed, and ball skills have him pegged by many as a first-round talent.

Wanna guess who was the last cornerback we took with two years or less of playing experience at the cornerback position?

I've watched tape on most of the CBs in this draft and I think Tabor and Wilson both look better than Lattimore. Lattimore looks like he could use more time playing in college, though he is very talented. And even though I'm a University of Tennessee fan, and most UT fans think Tabor is a *******, he has the kind of attitude you would love if he was on your team. Really intense, talks trash on social media. Though, that is probably not the type of player that fits the J-Rob mold.

Because it is still January and there is still a lot of evaluation needed
