Mularkey COTY?

He will definitely get the nod over Mike, but not sure he should when you consider the difference in talent between the two teams and the previous woes of the Titans.

Dallas has always been expected to perform well regardless rookie's playing or not. In my opinion they are merely living up to the expectations that is set every year. The Titans in my opinion are actually over achieving. That should count in my opinion. This team was expected to be a 5-6 win team at the beginning of the year. Now the league is talking playoffs. Mike won't win COTY because he's coaching in TN. Any other coach do a similar job as what Mike and staff has done this year and they'd win it by a landslide.

 

I'm not going to complain too much on the call to go for two.

Look at it this way, we knew if we missed we'd need a three and out to have a chance. No timeouts, so KC is totally in run the clock mode. We put it on the D to make a stop and they have done big things the last two weeks. The run D has been outstanding.

We tie it up and maybe KC decides to throw the ball around to try to get into FG range. With our secondary, they very well may have been able to.

 

I think going for 2 was the right decision, it was just a terrible play call. If we missed the 2 (which we did) we still had time on the clock to make a defensive stop (which we did) and make a field goal for the win (which we did). I am sick to death of seeing Murray called for short yardage plays when we have a beast like Henry. That 2 point play call, Mariota for a pass, was highly unlikely to be successful.

 

Mularkey mind ****ed them, made KC think all they had to do was run the clock out with 3 minutes to go.

 

well look next year if I guy comes in and takes the Jags to 10-6 and wins the division. I mean, how does that guy not win coach of the year right?

Cowboys were a deep playoff team year before last--they severely under acheived last year, and now they are back to where they should be, maybe a bit better than that, but still, this roster was a playoff roster 2 years ago. Titans havent sniffed the playoffs since 2009 and had the #1 pick lat year. 10-6, after starting 1-3 is nothing short of spectacular. the more I think about it, the more Mularky may be the guy to get that award this year. IF they close out the year with these 2 wins.

I'm really impressed with how quick Mularkey has changed this team around. I predicted a 5-6 win team. The way we are playing right now. If we were to reset the season, we'd probably be sitting with 10 wins right now.

Mularkey has definitely proved me wrong, that's for sure.

Just to think that we can host and win a playoff game is just out my mind.

This is a great point. He should be in the running. He gets us to the playoffs... top 3 or 5.
