So how are you thinking about Mariota now?

Have you watched Brownings last few games? Very erratic, poor decisions, and confusion vs USC. John Ross and Petersons offense made him, but if you can contain Ross even a bit (if you could call it that) and stack the run game putting the pressure on Browning to find 2nd and 3rd receivers, he wasn't up to it. This is why you can't look simply at highlight reels and annoint a young qb anything. People were still hyping him up based on stats, not on what HE was doing. You can under throw Ross by 5yds deep against bad teams where he's beaten guys by 10 yards. But you can't do that against a solid team that are 'only' a few steps behind!

Let Browning develop some more before you crown him anything. And while we are at it, let's not be crowning Marcus either (great or terrible) and let his play speak for itself.

I was amazed how poorly he played against USC. But one game is not a career.

I am enthused about MM, but he still has flaws. If he corrects them (which I think he can) he can be the guy. I saw him grow up Sunday. He stood in the pocket, and with a guy bearing down on him from the left, and knowing he was going to get hit, delivered a perfect ball to Walker into tight coverage. He won some points on that one. Still, he is avoiding the middle of the field, but with someone young, that is probably to be expected. I think Robiskie is protecting him that way. He will let him have a seam route, but nothing across. That's fine. He has plenty of time left to work on that.

Search your last 500 posts and amaze yourself. funny you say he isn't clutch but consistently is bailing us out on 3rd down when the run game fails and he's 30-0 redzone td:turnover ratio is best in the NFL. He's so not clutch. You either don't know what clutch means or you want to push against the grain to be edgy so you get the attention. Either way you're a whiny fan that always has to complain about something, I can't imagine how sucky watching a game with you would be.

his Critique was not passing outside the numbers not over the middle. He's favored the middle a lot over the past 20 games if you look at the passing charts. Sunday was a bit out of the ordinary.

The MM8HC (Mariota Haters Club) will recess back into the holes for a week only to emerge again the next bad game he has.

It's just the nature of the beast to see young QBs struggle and Mariota is no exception. I fully expect him to have a few rough games against some of the better defenses he'll face the rest of the season.

That is what makes Prescott's season so amazing. He's having a season like Roethlisberger had his rookie year. It rivals Griffin's and Wilson's rookie seasons in '12.

Dak is pure talent, where Griffin and Wilson were gimmicks. You know as well as I do that DC's get onto you eventually and stop it. Wilson has evolved, but I don't believe RGIII will ever make it. VY didn't even make it a year before they schemed him. But when you can run the ball, there is no answer for that. Can't be in two places at once. This is why Dak and MM are starting to really put up numbers.

Even when he as played bad he was clutch enough to tie or give us the lead....Hou, Raiders, and don't forget the Lions game. He has and will have bad games.

You know who needs to be clutch at times as well? Our Defense

Give credit where it's due, but without that OL Dak is your typical rookie QB. Same goes for Elliot.
