Game Day Thread Raiders @ Titans GDT

I think we only had one timeout. We still have 16 seconds. We hit a short pass. Go down...line up and spike. We should still have about 9 seconds or so. We can run two plays in that length of time..maybe even three. We can run a play with one second left on the clock.

 

The final blow came from the Lewan penalty. We're 1st and goal from the 2, let it be. Punch it in the next play.

How'd Kline look in place of Warmack? I didn't get to see the game.

Also, I'd love to see a game where Marcus doesn't have a turnover. That changes the 2 loses that we have.

 

My guess is the other players cant keep up. Wasnt that a complaint in philly in kellys first couple of years?

 

At least try to go fast. I'm not saying it's going to work with our WR corps and a fresh defense, but we've had success with it so why not when nothing else is working. Just go k-gun and no huddle and see if it doesn't help. Then we can run in the 3rd and 4th when they are worn down. Whatever we are doing now, 3 games in, it's not working and we are still turning the ball over.

 

I agree that the play wasn't blown dead and in Lewans defense, if Sharpe is still on his feet, they wanted to shove him into the end zone.

The problem is, Sharpe went down just before they got there and they didn't pull up. So you end up with a 300lb LT diving into a pile of players. That will get flagged every time from pee wee, to HS, to college, to the NFL!!!

I appreciate guys wanting to play thru the whistle, but you have to play smart first!

 

I just know Exotic Smash Mouth isn't working and is incredibly boring.

 

O line didnt look awful in my opinion. Few dropped passes, few bad throws by MM8, no DW and some stupid untimely penalties. If those things go our way, we win by two scores I think. I dont think we are that far off. And I think those calling a second year qb with a bad oc a bust are morons.

 

Really disappointed that with the Raiders playing man to man all day long that MM didn't take off running more, or roll out more, like Carr did. He's supposed to be mobile. Use whatever resources you have. When the DB's were running downfield we never tried to hit Henry out of the backfield, only Murray. But Murray earned his money today. What a great game. We haven't had a back like that in a LONG time, if ever.

 

Problem is, not sure they won't bring in someone worse! If I knew they'd let Robinson do the search and make the call, great! The nonsense that occurred last offseason would be more of the same! Maybe worse...if that's possible!

 

We are an undiscplined football team with a young qb. We dont make stupid mistakes and missed tackles constantly and we are 3-0 right now.
People that expect perfection out of MM8 on here are morons.
