Murray or not, Hurd lined up in the same backfield with Mariota would be so unfair it could be illegal in some states. :)

If he masters the stiff-arm on a more consistent basis, he's gonna be a beast. Needs to do more of this when he gets out on the edge and can't beat the defenders to the corner with speed...

Hurd is average at best. You're just in love with him because he's a hometown boy.

He's not from my hometown, nor does he play in my hometown. Hurd was part of a Top 5 recruiting class, so you can't say I'm just being a homer. When it comes to the Titans, I want the best prospects...that's why I wanted Derrick Henry (at #33) before Robinson traded for Murray...even though I hate Bama. I hate Ole Miss nearly as bad, but I would like to see us draft Nkemdiche if he slides to 33. I like Eric Striker in the 3rd, even though I'm not fan of Oklahoma.

With that said, if Tennessee has a player I think can help the Titans why shouldn't I say something? Hell I've seen a lot more of them. That's why I think Randolph and Curt Maggitt would be steals late in the draft...cause they are heavily undervalued, but can play at a 2nd Rd level. Both players are All SEC caliber athletes, so why wouldn't I want to see the Titans draft them when it's a high value pick?

As for Hurd...the kid was a 5* RB coming out of HS and he's living up to the hype. He will be one of the top 3 RB's in the country this year. Why shouldn't I favor him? Watch his HS reel and tell me the kid isn't a baller.

What are you talking about? You were generalizing about people who wanted Ramsey over Tunsil with the hometown boy talk. Can't handle it when directed at you? The only reason anyone talks about Hurd on this site is because he plays for UT and is from Hendersonville. The guy is nothing special.

I know I'll get called a Homer for this one, but how is Jakeem Grant not on that list?

Nothing special? Now I know you're a troll who is butthurt because I dare to knock your local man-crush, Ramsey.

Hurd is indeed special. He didn't get that 5* out of a cracker jack box. And he was 4th in the SEC rushing, behind Fournette, Henry and Collins....that is with him playing behind an OL that was still rebuilding. In the Bama game, we had to true freshmen playing on the right side of the line. He also split reps with Kamara. Both of them will be early draft picks next year.

"Nothing special? " Get that silly chit outta here.

He's definitely a playmaker, but Sankey and DMac are both undersized RB's that were pretty good in college. So, I'm a bit wary of us taking another smallish scatback.

A flyer on Drake would be nice. Great 3rd down back. Can split wide and catch well. Type of combination that could be a weapon for Yoda. We need a gadget guy
