His celebration antics are over the top and rub alot of (if not most) people the wrong way. If he wants to carry on like that its his prerogative and Im sure alot of his fans enjoy it. However hes missing out on a chance to win alot more fans. He is one of the most physically gifted QBs we ever seen. The QB position is so high profile that he could become the most popular athlete in the country. But his insistence on showing off after he makes a good play is ensuring that alot of people cant stand him.
And its not a racist thing. The great Saint Earl Campbell is the one who said that his high school coach taught him to not celebrate when he scored because he wanted to act like he had been there before. He was a true class act and will always be remembered for his class. at this point Cam will never be remembered for his class. but its his life and his decision.
Since he isnt my teams QB then it will only seem like im jealous. however i promise that if my teams Qb did that I would be absolutely against it and mention it all the time. For example every time Kendall Wright (my Baylor brother) does his little first down sign every time he makes a first down, I yell at the TV for to cut it out and go back to the huddle. Act like you've been there before!

Loved the story this year about Bengals coaches pressuring AJ Green to show a little more enthusiasm after TDs - so he punts the ball into the stands after a 66y TD against The Steelers..
But it also turns out to be McCarron's first NFL TD pass.
    "Where's that ball, AJ?"
    D'oh!

he plays a childs game.... who cares if he dances. the touchdown dance has been in football for as long the game has existed. Every single kid in that stadium see's him as a hero. You could be mad about a billion things and you are mad about someone dancing after a touchdown :hugelaugh:

Im not mad at him at all. Im just giving my opinion about his antics. You are right that its a game. Its a game that both children and adults play. And children learn sportsmanship by watching adults play their games. Sportsmanship in my book is important. And to over-celebrate throughout a game is bad sportsmanship in my opinion.
