Exactly. Tampa Bay made that selection. Webster may have just fallen ass backwards into a good pick for once.

Webster is bad....real bad. Terrible draft choices (TT, Hunter, Brown, Ayers, Sankey, a 4th on a non-used FB. Our team is laughable. #1 pick no doubt in 2016.

Unbelievable to me anybody thinks Webster fit to be a GM. we are worse since he's been at the helm. The ONLY reason our D is better is Lebeau. And he came from Whiz. If Webster had nothing to do with the Whiz hire (which is a ridiculous concept for a GM) then he gets no credit for the D improvement.

His draft record stinks. His FA signings stink except for Walker and maybe Orapko. He's been at or below average at every other GM responsibility. And the team is undeniably in worse shape since he took over.

Jones has been OK starter at 3/4 DE, but has not done anything great this year.

Orakpo was a no brainer that Webster almost let walk away without a contract.

Cox has been hurt the best part of the year. When he has not been hurt he has been average. He has not been great in coverage or a sure tackler.

Morgan has produced less pressure, less sacks, and played in fewer games this year than he has in his previous years. He also was allowed to visit several other teams before signing. Not to mention that we paid him nearly as much as Orakpo when he has never produced on a consistent basis.

Searcy while ok in run support has done very little. He is mostly not noticeable on the field.

The 1st round OL picks that Webster made in the top 10 & 11 respectively have been part of the biggest weak link on the field. They are top tier picks that should not have been taken as early as they were taken. This is what you point to as evidence that Webster has improved?? The OL we NEEDED to play this year at RT was taken too early and projected as an OG. Webster picked him over other real Ts. He was tagged as a starter and played so bad he was benched several times before being permanently sit. Now they are talking about him as an OG as he should of been drafted.

Webster hit on some late round guys. Williamson is one. Blackson has played ok, but is a rotational DT. Who you just said we did not need anyway.

Marcus fell into his lap. There was 2 great QBs in this draft. We picked 2nd. The team picking 1st took one of the 2 great QBs, the other fell to us. Any time you pick in the top 5 and have a chance at a Franchise QB when you clearly do not have one; you take him! It's not like Webster solved the global warming issues of mankind. He took the obvious pick that landed in his lap. How can you give him credit for Marcus??

I love this team and think that there is hope in the future. Webster has not done anything to help this team evolve. This team has been without an identity since Webster came to TN. How can you have a plan to improve an offense that you have not set a clear identity for??

What is the identity of this team? The question was asked of Webster for years....his answer has been versatile.......run first physical when we have no run game, no rb, and no oline.

His attempts to improve the oline, rb, and WR have cost this team millions and huge assets in drafts picks/FA. This is who you want to give credit???

Well. At least our fullback is good.

How bout that catch he made last week? That gave me hope before the meltdown.

I saw the stat for our wide receivers being slower than the TEs, thats embarrassing.

Webster fell into the mariota pick. This years draft and FA was one of the better ones. Then we kept only 4 WRs.

One step forward, two steps back.

Well rumor was Wisenhunt didnt want Mariota right? I dont think the Mariota pick was as slam dunk as you guys think. Hell more than 50% of this board were completely against it, and now we're going to pretend it was obvious?

I'd be OKAY with giving Webster one more year just from the past draft+FA. Mostly cause I think the draft is more random then anyone will admit.

That is not the only reason the d is better. Three big FA signings did help

We have a coach that knows how to use them. And it wasn't like there was "hidden" talent that Webster's GM skills detected that others didn't.

How have Webster's offensive FA signings done? (other than Walker- I'll give him that one)

Is the team in better shape since he has been making decisions both as GM and as VP of player personnel? I'd say it convincingly NO!
