I see everyone is on the Tre Mcbride Train early.

And Justin Hunter sits when he pees.

Can't believe Hunter (or anyone else on this team) hasnt been able to play well with all that HOF talent at QB! I mean we're rotating in elite QBs week after week. He should be able to play well with at least 1 of the 3-4 of QBs!

I'm enthused/encouraged by the attitude he's showing. That the extent of my assessment of him. I look forward to seeing how he does in TC. Then I'll know if he really has "it".

Hunter has the highest number of "uncatchable" balls last season. Wright was 12th.

Shouldnt surprise anyone but its still interesting.

Yes, I read that as well. Not saying Hunter is great or can be great. But it's hard for any WR to do anything when they're playing with a different QB.

First off, both are right. The NFL is a mans game and even 'finesse' players need to be pretty tough. Football is a HARD game to put it lightly.

But a coaches job is not simply to break all of your players and then build them back up like the military does. The military owns you and while the NFL team owns you too, the NFL needs its first and 2nd end players to learn and perform asap!!! So much like a teacher who might have 30 students in a classroom with all different personalities and learning styles, a good coach needs to figure out how to get the BEST of his players and this is why position coaches are so important!

Great coaches know how to get the most of their players and inspire them. Public humiliation doesn't sound like a good strategy for Hunter but we'll see.

I always think back to a media session when Parcells - the Giants coach back then with Phil Simms and LT - was asked how he handles all the different personalities in his team. Parcels is known as a tough my way or the high way kind of guy and he got into it frequently with Sims, LT, and others. But he said he treated all the players the same!!! When pointed out that these same rules didn't seem to apply to the star players he said, no, I treat everyone the same.......except him and him and him and....

Whiz is in a tough spot if he can't get Hunter to run more precise routes.
He needs Mariota to throw guys open and do so with anticipation by throwing to a spot. That's hard to do when the intended receiver isn't in a position to make it to that spot on time, or is cluttering up the field for other/crossing routes by crowding someone else on the route tree because he's out of position.

Tennessee Titans Kendall Wright continuing to work at precision routes - Tennessee Titans Blog - ESPN

Interesting article by PK touching on Whiz's eArlier dissatisfaction with KW and how he responded. It does illustrate Whiz's interest and ability to criticize WRs and Taylor a specific style of communication to individual players. Maybe Whiz is right to bust Hunters azz. If Hunter gets better, we'd have to acknowledge Whiz's coaching style as contributory to the improved results.
