Colts Owner Suspended

I guess we have different meanings of billionaire. Theoretically yes he's stupid rich, but he's not selling his football team, and thats where all his net worth is tied into, in fact dude inherited that golden goose. He certainly doesn't have a billion dollars he can go out and spend.

 

Well sure. But he could still access those assets if absolutely necessary. Actually there's no telling what the Colts would bring if he did ever decided to sell the team. He's probably theoretically worth even more than 1.7 billion.

I get what you're saying though. I'm sure it sucks to write a half million dollar check no matter what. But at the end of the day it doesn't affect his life one bit. There's nothing he couldn't go out and do, or buy, after writing that check that he would have been able to do before it.

It'd be like me or you writing a check for a $50 traffic ticket or something. You'd be like "damn it" as you write it but ultimately it affects nothing. We'd still be able to eat that night.

 

Thought I read someone say, along the lines of, "he was treated like a regular person" and such.

Actually, my brother-in-law has talked to the officer that initially stopped Irsay. He said he was glad it was him and not some newer guy... because he recognized Irsay and kept it, relatively quiet.

In other words, Irsay was treated better than another person.

Was he prosecuted properly? Yes... eventually.
