Nope. Fitzy is only $3.25 million. If we were to sign McCown it would cost at least what the Bucs paid him:

Bucs gave former Bears QB Josh McCown a two-year deal worth $10 million -- $4.75M this year $5.25M next year, per sources.

He also hasn't had a good running game or Brandon Marshal and Alshon Jeffrey to throw to.

Good call on McCown being cheaper, TWW2.

I had no interest in McCown at all.

But if this means Mike Glennon is now available...THAT is something I'd want the Titans to look into.

We shouldn't give him that, but if interest in the market wanes, we should get in the mix. Competition doesn't hurt. If we could sign McCown or Hill either one on a contract that doesn't hurt us, we should. Let them fight it out to see who's going to be the backup, maybe even starter if one shows that much promise. I'm not saying McCown will find his stride here, but weirder things have happened (KFC). I still haven't given up on Locker, something TWW2 and I disagree on, but I don't believe Locker nor Fitzpatrick should simply be content and complacent. Do the naysayers have better options for backup beyond Fitz?
