Roman definitely comes off as a boring guy so those you that bashed Munch for having no passion will likely be saying the same thing about Roman if he isn't the savior we expect. I, however, could give a damn how boring a guy seems if he knows football and this man seems to know football and have a deep passion for it. I love people who live, breathe, and eat the sport because their mind is always thinking about how to improve the team. They never settle. I also agree that we've been trying to emulate the 49'ers for a while so Roman would be a phenomenal fit for us. Who better to bring in than the guy you're trying to copy? As much as I like Roman though I'd give my left nut to bring Zimmer in as DC. That man has fire in his eyes. Roman as HC or OC and Zimmer as DC would be a dream.

You are implying causation where none exists. It's easy to run when defenses have to respect your passing game.

Of course we want the Titans to have a strong running game. But building a team with a run-first philosophy is a broken way to go about things.

Roman as HC with Williams as DC would be an excellent combination. A consistent combination but Roman may want a 3-4 guy and a less stronger personality or he may like having somebody with Williams experience to hold down the defensive side while he can focus on the offense.

What we know watching teams like the Saints, Colts and eagles is that a move to a 3-4 even without ideal personnel can work. 50% of the time you are in a 4-2-5 or 4-1-6 anyway. we see long term 4-3 ends like Mathis and Trent Cole having no problems at all making the adjustment.

According to his presser, he drafted/signed players in close concert with Munchak and I expect he would do the same with the new coach.

i don't think Ruston has a system. He just wants the coach to have a good plan for the current roster Whatever style the coach wants to play just needs to be agreed on so Webster can bring in the right guys.

I just want to see balance, and the ability to do both when needed. That is what great teams do.

I feel like while everyone thnks Zimmer would be perfect as Head coach there might be a reason he's never gotten past the interview process in all these years. Comes up a bit prickly to me, one of those hard nose D coordinator guys who implodes as head coach.

Hell, if its not Munch I'm buying.

Agreed. We could of kept Munch and sucked balls in 2014, or get a new coaching staff and suck balls in 2014. I would rather suck balls with a new staff but have the hope they could make the 2014 season awesome. Whereas we already knew it was going to suck with Munch.

Your assessment is likely correct. I wouldn't necessarily want him as a HC.
