Person who may be right to a certain extent. Brandon Marshall called him out on playing football and taking headshots and he responded with this.

"Listen, everybody’s got their opinion of things, you know. Everybody’s got their opinion. He feels like, you know, I need to be kicked out of the league. I feel like, people who beat their girlfriends should be kicked out of the league too.

"You tell me who you’d rather have: Somebody who plays aggressive on the field, or somebody who beats up their girlfriend. Everybody’s got their opinion. That’s mine. He’s got his."

If GODell was really serious about protecting the sheild than there should be zero tolerance when it comes to violence against women. These men are world class athletes and stronger than the avererage man I don't know of too many women that can hang with a NFL player but they still play in the league after beating women up. Hell manslaughter (donte Stallworth, leanard little), wont even get you kicked out of the league but don't tackle a QB because then there's all hell to pay

People are gonna bash Meriweather but he got it right on this issue

Most WRs would rather take the shots up high VS taking the shots to the knee.

Marshall is one of my favorite players in the league, he has done a complete 180 from where he was not too long ago. He is what the league should be modeling themselves after.

Meriweather on the other hand, is a ****ing punk and deserves to be kicked out of the league. This guy is going to seriously hurt someone. A flat out dirty player.

    and he should really STFU

"On July 21, 2006 Meriweather was involved in a shooting incident when teammate Willie Cooper was shot in the buttocks. In self-defense, Meriweather returned fire and shot at the unidentified shooters three times.
During the Miami-FIU brawl on October 14, 2006, Meriweather was seen stomping multiple times on several Florida International players on the ground. Meriweather was ultimately suspended by the ACC and Miami for his role in the incident.
On April 25, 2012, Meriweather was arrested in Arlington County, Virginia, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to a press account."

I don't like to use this word often, because people always associate it with race, but the guy is a thug.

He makes a good point, domestic abuse is not something that should be taken lightly, but this is totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Meriweather is a dirty player and not a very good safety. I don't think the league would be missing much if either player was gone.

    People in Chicago will :p

IDK how much people are going to go after a guy who speaks out against domestic violence. Even if they do not like what he says I think most will bite their tongue.

well Marshall was found not guilty of the domestic violence charge, so its kind of a null issue.
