My wife wants a SUP for her birthday. I don't know chit about them but need to get her one. I want to spend around $1500. Looking at Slingshot crossbreed (kids ride on with her maybe.) using in flat water on lake. Need anybody with product experience to affirm or offer alternate suggestions. Thanks
Ive spent some time falling off paddle boards, and all I can offer is "the wider the better" (unless you're racing it)
I thought this thread was going to be about some elaborate bondage device. My old business had long lasting effects on my brain.
I am not familiar with the Crossbreed, but watched the video. I don't like the manual valves, most quality boards come with care free valves- you leave them alone and they adjust on their own. You mentioned your wife may ride with you kids on the board. I really like Boardworks Joyride. Covered in padding on top and extremely stable and easy to handle. Different sizes from around $1,100 - around $1,250. Ton of dealers all over the country or order from them and they charge around $100 shipping... Www. Boardworkssup.com If you like the wood look, Creed SUP has awesome boards. They are lighter and more stable than most boards. The foam core is lighter than most boards and it has a layer of real bamboo over it. Looks great and boards weigh in the low 20 lbs range. 11' Talon is a great all around board and costs about $1,150, with free shipping from www.Creedsup.com Good luck.
