Kickoff coverage is BS this year. There are two good options:

    1) Move the arrow all the way up and all the way to either side (usually the left). Start the kick meter but don't touch it again. Let it go all the way up and all the way down. This will angle the kick towards the sideline between the 30 and 35 yardline. Most opponents will fair-catch this. If not, you can control the defender closest to the sideline and lay a big hit right on the returner (which will be a 3rd string TE) as he catches like if it was a punt. This kick will be fumbled sometimes too. If they get out of the way of the kick, it may go out of bounds, but sometimes it won't and you can actually recover it. If your opponent starts selecting "Kick Return Left", kick it to the other side.

    2) Move the arrow all the way up and kick with full power. This puts the ball around the 20 yardline and most returns will go to about the 30. It gives up yardage, but it's very rare that it gets returned for a TD. But it still can happen, because kickoff coverage is so terrible. Sometimes people will try to get fancy with this kick, and will fumble it, or down it inside the 10.

I generally use the 1st kick most of the game, unless it's right before halftime or the end of the game, then I'll use the 2nd. Occasionally the first kick will get screwed up, and the line will go side to side. This still results in an okay kick, but it will be more towards the middle of the field. It's a bit frustrating.

Kicking deep is the worst thing you can do.

It's a ton of manual work and calls. Imagine inputting a fatality into MK back in the day on every play. That's what it's like.

I squib kick it 98 percent of the time. If not they are gonna return it to the 40 anyways and this way I get a chance at hit sticking someone to cause a fumble. And occasionally the ball will bounce to the return man at around the 5 giving your guys a good chance at stopping him

I was playing online and put CJ as a kick returner. I had 3 TD returns lol. Guy was heated and sent me a angry message

It's not that much work once you get it down. For any given play, I may make 6 (give or take) different adjustments: Hot-routes, slide protections, ect. Once you get the muscle memory down, I can do all those adjustments in around one second flat. Same on defense. Sometimes I have to make several adjustments to the positioning and blitz angles of my players, as well as changing the individual zones for each player. It's frantic trying to get it all done before your opponent snaps the ball, but the more you practice the faster you get. I enjoy the craziness.
