    Yeah it’s not a remake, it’s a sequel

The scene where the black lady turned white and died after seeing him still sticks in my mind!

People Under The Stairs was one of those weird Wes Craven experiments - I don't think they age well and that guy gets way too much hype as an icon. More bad movies than good..
Candyman is being remade by Jordan Peele.. An I think Tony Todd is still the Candyman...

My buddy Tom is the bearded guitar player in the band that Dean puts together in the second movie.. and my other friend is (was) the drummer in a band that "Tron" fronted. Apparently there was a big melee and now nobody talks to the Tron guy anymore. I guess Tron isn't so different than the guy that plays him..

Hard to answer this question since you're saying you and your wife are big horror movie buffs, so it's like, "OK, so then you're aware of the good obscure stuff? Because the stuff that's just obscure generally isn't that good."

Anyways, my top three favorite horror movies are:
    1. Hellraiser: Inferno (Scott Derrickson's (Sinister, Exorcism of Emily Rose, Deliver Us from Evil) first movie; cenobite fans don't care for it, but cenobite fans can go watch Hellraiser III for all I care).

    2. In the Mouth of Madness (Sam Neill is fantastic as John Trent).

    3. The Beyond (my favorite Fulci flick)

Beyond that, it just depends on what you're after. Italian suspense? Argento. Italian zombies and weirdness? Fulci. Japanese gore special effects? Guinea Pig. Well-crafted horror movies with moral messages? Scott Derrickson.

I dunno, now I just feel like I'm stating things a horror buff should know. So I'll stop.

I love some Argento, Fulci and the rest, but I honestly didn't think there's another person on this board that would profess any love for those films and would probably be panned here if they did sit for a viewing..

I have a feeling The Beyond is going to get a turn with Joe Bob this year -unless Shudder pulls it. Possibly Gates of Hell as well.

Watched Color Out of Space over the weekend, which was yet another freakout for Nick Cage. Worth checking out for Lovecraft fans..
